Fun Reads During Lockdown

Hello, my lovely readers,

Hope you're all doing fine - well, as fine as you could be, given the circumstances. Most of us are forced to stay insides for our own safety and that of others. While some of us are quite busy managing our work and family all at once, there are many who might want to get distracted with a cozy read, to get some respite from the anxiety and uncertainty that's right now surrounding us. And that brings me to today's post - I have a few recos, a couple of my own favorites - from the Indie romance world. If you haven't read any or all of these, go ahead and give it a shot!

1. The Boarding School Series by Elizabeth Lennox - Hands down my favorite indie romance author, I am more than happy I stumbled upon this series from Ms Lennox. The Boarding School Series is a set of five books that feature the love stories of four, alpha men and one sweet woman who have known each other from their boarding school days. A hot Greek man, a tempting Sheikh, or that man with the sexy English accent? You have it all in this series. Ladies, you gotto try this one! You will not regret it for sure!!

2. Love Hate Relationship by Jessica Prince - Another author who I really love and is definitely a one-click, is Jessica Prince. I really can't decide which one to recommend, but I put up Love Hate Relationship because that was the first book that I read from her shelf. After that, there was no looking back. Just like the title suggests, this book is full of angst, cute, wit and heat! It's a quirky, funny, and a heart-melting love story between a best-selling author and his sassy personal assistant. When sass meets stubborn, won't sparks fly? Check out Jessica's site to get a glimpse of all her books!

3. The Smitten Husband by Sundari Venkatraman - This is a sweet love story set in India. What starts as a marriage of convenience, quickly ends up as a cute love story with a happily-ever-after between the protagonists. Written by the Indie romance queen, Sundari Venkatraman, this was the first book that I read of hers. Of course, I feel in love with this simple tale and the author's style. Check out Sundari's Amazon page to see all her books at a glance.

4. The Prince's Special Bride by Devika Fernando - If you're in the mood for some sweet, royal romance, you should definitely check out The Prince's Special Bride by Devika. Who doesn't enjoy a royal romance? First in the Romancing the Royals series, this is the story of the beautiful Marie who gets a chance to visit a palace and fall in love with her real-life Prince Charming, Christian. When she becomes the special bride, will her love for her prince conquer their issues? You can check out the other works from Devika, who writes lovely intercultural romance, here.

5. Past Marriageable Age by Sudesna Ghosh - Who said women have to marry and settle down at a certain age? Who set these rules in the first place? Sudesna has tarnished those age old expectations and pressure, and has woven this beautiful tale of an almost forty-year-old Koel who meets the love of her life, Ranbir. Is it possible to find love at that age when the society has already decided she's a hopeless cat women? This cute love story is a short, fun and a heartwarming read. Perfect to cozy up with a hot chocolate. I loved this novella and I am definitely picking up more books from this author's shelf. Sudesna writes lovely rom-coms that also feature quirky, furry cats. Hop on to her page to check out all her books.

Happy reading! Stay home, and stay safe! This too shall pass...

xoxo
